We first heard of Tutor Doctor from friends who said it helped raised their daughter's SAT score significantly. I contacted Patti Avin, and got a prompt and professional response. She came to our home and met with our son, who needed a Chemistry tutor and a tutor for the SAT US History subject test. After speaking with our son, she researched options for the tutors who would best match our son's personality and learnig style. She was kind, helpful and encouraging. Sonn thereafter, our son started weekly sessions at our home with two different tutors. In spite of his apprehennsion about the experience, he actually found himself enjoying the sessions and wanting to sign up for more hours. His grade in Chemistry went up a letter grade, and he scored a 740 on the SAT.
We have continued with Tutor Doctor this academic year, for Physics, Calc & SAT prep. I recommend this tutoring service for people who want their childrento better understand and appreciate their academic subjects and to improve their grades and scores.

This tutor has helped our 15 year old daughter to use principles created for her specific learning style, that will not only carry her through high school & college, but well into life as an adult. We appreciate the integrity and knowledge that Tutor Doctor and our tutor has brought into our weekly sessions. I don't know how our daughter would have been able to continue on in the 9th. grade without the assistance she has received because she was missing many concepts that would allow her to successfully continue. We are very happy with our decision to use Tutor Doctor. Roxanne is friendly, the service we have received has been excellent and our tutor, Carrie, is great and very accommodating. Our daughter is more confident with her studies and her marks are improving. I appreciate the flexibility of our package and, it is a huge relief to not have to drive as they come to our house!
